Frontier Mail allows you to create a custom SSL certificate which can be used to establish confidence between your email client and website. By default, every email client that connects to the Internet uses a different port value. However, when you set up your Frontier account, the default setting is modified to use the "trustport" port number which raises port traffic allowed while decreasing outbound junk mail. To change this setting, click on the “Settings" icon in the main menu and then click "SSL."

You may also use the “Trust Bar" feature of Frontier Mail to encrypt your email address automatically at rest during logon. The “Trust Bar" is situated in the far left corner of your display by clicking on the clock symbol. By default, your IP filtering rules block any server which needs you to start a “block chat" dialog box in order to communicate with someone outside your network. If you rather enter a trust pub, your IP address is automatically encrypted whenever you enter the Internet.
